The inaugural Border Collie Convention 2010
On the 20th March 2010 the very first Border Collie Convention was held at the Centre, Bassett Street, Wigston. It proved to be an enormous success and attracted over 75 people including many all-rounder judges. The speaker panel included; Felix Cosme, Kathy Burnell, Toni Jackson, Joanne Ratcliffe, Rachel Spencer, Penny Forster-Cooper and Ross Green. Topics covered included an opening presentation on the general appearance and key characteristics of the Border Collie, judging the Border Collie, presentation and handling as well as breeding the Border Collie.
